This document explains the terms under which Mel Pirata (constituted by Paulo Pirata - Comércio, Produção de Mel e Serviços Apícolas, Unip., Lda, with registered office at Rua 25 de Abril, nº 9, 7050-011 Fazendas do Cortiço, under the single registration and legal person identification number 516 651 315) collects, uses and processes the data and information of its users via its Online Shop. The rules for collecting, using and processing data and information are in accordance with national legislation and the applicable Personal Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016.
Mel Pirata takes care of the privacy of its users and the personal data submitted by them, and is responsible for the website https://melpirata.pt (hereinafter, the "Site").

Ways in which Mel Pirata collects user data

Data that Mel Pirata collects from its users

- the data subjects withdraw their consent or object to the processing of their data;
- if the data processing does not comply with legal provisions.
Deletion can be done in self-service mode via the account management page, or by making an email request, from the email address associated with the account, to melpirata@melpirata.pt.
Right to restriction of treatment - the holder of personal data has the right to have their data limited to what is essential for the purpose of processing.
Right to data portability (data transfer) - the data subject has the right to receive his or her data or to request that it be passed on to another organisation that will become responsible for his or her personal data (only if this is technically possible).
Right of Opposition - the data subject has the right to object, at his/her request and free of charge, to the processing of his/her personal data for the purposes of direct marketing or any other form of prospecting and to his/her personal data being communicated to third parties, unless otherwise provided by law.
The right to know about a data breach - the holder of personal data has the right to be informed in the event of a security breach that compromises their data.
Right to complain to the supervisory authority - the holder of the personal data has the right to complain not only to the company's personal data controller, but also to the supervisory authority, the National Data Protection Commission.
Data retention period
The data collected is processed for the period strictly necessary to fulfil the specific purpose of each one.
The identification data of registered users is kept for as long as their relationship with the user is maintained, and will remain until the user deletes their registration with Mel Pirata or requests its deletion.
For the purposes of commercial transactions and fulfilment of legal invoicing obligations, the data will be kept for the period legally provided for the fulfilment of legal obligations, as well as for contesting legal situations and for as long as these continue.
