Ingredients
- 500 g unleavened wheat flour
- 100 g cornflour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp fennel
- 240 g sugar
- 150 g of cowpeas
- 1 orange
- 50 g honey
- 2 eggs
- 1 yolk
Preparation
- Mix the flours, cinnamon, fennel, yeast and sugar in a bowl.
- Make a hole in the centre and add the melted vaqueiro, orange juice and zest, honey and eggs.
- Mix everything together until you have a smooth, homogeneous dough.
- Cover with cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Shape them and place them on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.
- Brush with the egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 20 minutes.
